Michael Ballack may be out of 2010 world cup

The German national team captain Michael Ballack may be ruled out of the 2010 world cup due to the injury he had suffered in his ankle.
In the FA cup final when playing for Chelsea against Portsmouth he injured his ligaments of the right leg's ankle.As a result the doctors had advised him to rest at least 8 weeks which will make him to miss the world cup.
Now Ballack had came to Germany for his treatments and quick recovery.
The absence of their key play maker and possession holder at the midfield will may be a set back for the German team.He had played 98 international matches in which he had scored 42 goals.
Still now there was no substitute announced for injured captain where as the team will leave for South Africa till the end of the next week.
Michael Ballack was also the captain of the team in the 2008 Euro cup where they were defeated by Spain in the final 1-0.
