Anelka made it to the South Africa after 3 world cup misses

One of the world's most known faces in soccer Nicolas Anelka had been selected for the 2010 worl cup to be held at South Africa after missing three consecutive world cups.
In 1998 world cup the Chelsea striker had been dropped due to the age factor as he was only of 18 year old.In that year France had beaten Brazil 3-1 in the final to lift the world cup.
From that time Anelka was supposed to be a consistent player of the French national team and he was also a part of the team in 2000 Euro triumph.
In 2002 world cup things again gone wrong for him as he was unable to find his place in the world class strikers like David Trezeguet,Djibrill Cisse,Thierry Henry.
In 2006 Raymond Domenech was selected as the French coach who selected him in the team as a substitute player.The Les Blues striker was unhappy with his selection as a substitute and refused to play the cup.
After 12 years this time Anelka was selected in the team as a regular player to play at South Africa.
To which the Chelsea striker added that they are capable of repeating the 1998 victory.
