Chelsea beat the relegated Portsmouth 1-0 in the FA cup final at Wembly to win the historic duo of Premier League and FA cup.
Drogba scored the only goal of the match from a free kick to take his team to glory.This match was all about missed opportunities and ball hitting the cross bar and going out.
Chelsea started the game well and tried hard to take the advantage as on the first half they hit the cross bar five times and gone out.
The first chance was for Lampard as he took the ball far away from the Pompey's goal and tried an absolute screamer which just hit the frame work of the net gone out.
Just after it Kalou missed an absolute sitter as he hit the cross bar of an empty net as well John Terry strike the wood work from a long range header.
Didier Drogba missing twice on the first half both by hitting the cross bar.The first one is from free kick which was saved by the mixed effort of David James and cross bar.At last the Ivory Costa striker gone frustrated and hit the wood work with his hand.
Portsmouth also had two opportunities to score but unable to take advantage of the opportunities.Chelsea was also kept cool by the excellence of Mokoena and James.
Pompey started the second half well by keeping possession but the game turned against the when Kevin Prince Boateng's penalty was stopped by Peter Chec.
Their pain increased with a goal from free kick from the leading Ivorian goal scorer just after 3minutes of the missed penalty.
The Blues also missed opportunity of making their lead double as Frank Lampard missed a penalty.
At last the Premier League winners won their expected second title of the season.
