UEFA champs lost their undefeated streake to far below team Atletico Madrid

Barcelona's lead over Real Madrid decreases to 2 points as they lost 2-1-

The group leaders Barcelona managed by Pep Guardiola lose their undefeated streak as they lose 2-1 to 11th place Atletico Madrid.After a very brilliant 2008-2009 season Atletico Madrid started this year with a disaster,so they are in a road of recovery.They are able to beat the Barcelona side which no one was able to do till now.Barcelona was playing this match away from home on 14-02-2010.
From the beginning of the game Atletico Madrid took advantage of very sloppy defending of the Catalans as they score their both goals with in 25 minutes.Diego Forlan scored the first
socker at the 7th minute assisted with a cross from Joe Reyes who completed his fantastic run from the left by beating tow Barca men.After Madrid took the lead Barca tried hard came up with a fantastic chance for Ibrahimovich who was not able to capitalise on it.Till 20th minutes Sergio Aguero came up with a good chance which was cleared by Barca defenders.At the 22nd minute Simao scored from a fantastic free kick which left Victor Valdes unmoved.The UEFA champions pulled one back to return to the game as Zlatan Ibrahimovich headed a curling corner from Puyol. From beginning to end of the second half Barcelona tried to equalise but unable to
break the strong defence of Atletico Madrid.
In this match Barca's attacking midfielder Kieta got injured and they suffered a lot as they coincided 4 yellow cards.As the result of a loss Real Madrid now just two points behind group
leaders as they thrash their opponent Xerez 3-0.In this match Lio Messi was found to be the flop of the match where as Joe Reyes of
Atletico Madrid was the player of the match.
